Cisco Network Engineer

Neocomp Systems, an established managed service provider is seeking a talented and dedicated IT professional with five or more years Cisco networking experience in a multi-office environment for the position of Network Engineer.


Network Engineers must exhibit a balance of technical, documentation and people skills, and have proven network management experience in a technical environment. Successful candidates for this position will possess a current Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification and exhibit superior abilities in Routing and Switching, VPN, Cisco ASA Firewall.


Network Engineers are responsible for providing direct support to Neocomp's customer base, and often oversee other members of the technical support staff. Network Engineers are highly experienced individuals, responsible for the completion of large-scale projects such as network design and installation, integration of new solutions into existing systems, and development of new technical processes. Network Engineers are often the final point of problem escalation, and are charged with the timely resolution of problem-solving issues escalated by other technical support staff members.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain Cisco Catalyst series switches (2960, 3650, 3750, 3850, 4500, 6500, etc.)
  • Install, configure and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls (5505, 5510, 5512X, 5515X, 5520, 5525X)
  • Install, maintain and support Cisco hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi controllers, and firewalls
  • Maintain patch panels and cabling
  • Perform network security design and integration
  • Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints
  • Provide network, port based, and host based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration
  • Work with 3rd party VOIP vendors to troubleshoot and improve voice calls
  • Provide and maintain network documentation
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
  • Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions
  • Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 7 years diverse WAN & LAN support experience
  • Cisco Certification required (CCNA or higher)
  • Working knowledge, understanding, and experience with telecommunication infrastructures (e.g. LAN, WAN, VLAN, Voice, Video, VPN, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of network protocols (IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IPsec, etc.)
  • Experience with Cisco telecommunications hardware (routers and switches, hubs, cabling, firewalls, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IP security implementation, multi-vendor IPS, URL filtering
  • Microsoft Office & Visio Professional
  • Operates as a Team Player
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Very good analytical skills and issue prioritization
  • Good time management with an ability to work on a number of projects and tasks concurrently setting own agendas and effectively prioritizing work
  • Strong enthusiasm for technology
  • Demonstrates thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Ability to generate and implement procedures
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure

Microsoft System Engineer

Neocomp Systems, an established managed service provider is seeking a talented and dedicated IT professional with five or more years Microsoft networking experience in a multi-office environment for the position of System Engineer.


System Engineers must exhibit a balance of technical, documentation and people skills, and have proven network management experience in a technical environment. Successful candidates for this position will possess current Microsoft Server certifications. You must exhibit superior abilities in configuring and maintaining Active Directory, Exchange and VMware.


System Engineers are responsible for providing direct support to Neocomp's customer base, and often oversee other members of the technical support staff. System Engineers are highly experienced individuals, responsible for the completion of large-scale projects such as network design and installation, integration of new solutions into existing systems, and development of new technical processes. System Engineers are often the final point of problem escalation, and are charged with the timely resolution of problem-solving issues escalated by other technical support staff members.


This position will require travel throughout the greater Los Angeles area.


Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • Thorough understanding of LAN and WAN environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 & 2012 operating system
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010 & 2013
  • Experience in MS Active Directory and MS Domain Administration, Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Ability to diagnose problems with hardware and software
  • Manage and troubleshoot desktops in a network environment
  • Experienced in troubleshooting DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Printer Service Technician

If you are an HP Certified Tech with an outstanding work ethic and great customer service skills then we want to hear from you!


We’re looking for a printer repair technician to install, troubleshoot and repair laser printers in the Greater Los Angeles area. At least 3 years experience with printers and related hardware is required. You must have reliable transportation.


Responsibilities:

  • Repair printers equipment at customer sites within our Service Level Agreement
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure highest satisfaction
  • Install new equipment at customer sites as required
  • Install upgrades, firmware and consumables

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience repairing Hewlett Packard laser printers
  • Certified by HP for Laser Jet service/repair.
  • Xerox printer and MFP certifications are a plus
  • Experience with office machine, copier and fax repair a plus
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and general computer skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace
  • Dependable with strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be able to work well independently
  • Must be self motivated
  • Results oriented individual

You must be comfortable working in a team setting interfacing with customer management personnel and have excellent customer service skills. The position requires someone with excellent hands on printer repair skills and desktop trouble shooting capabilities.
